Definition of SIUP
SIUP or Trade Business License is a permit that has the function to legalize a business sector.

Managing SIUP is actually only intended for business with a net worth of more than Rp50million. This value is not including land and building assets.

Types of SIUP that are valid
There are 4 types of SIUP that apply in Indonesia, namely:

- Medium SIUP:For business people with net assets and capital of IDR500million – IDR10billion
- Large SIUP: Type of SIUP required for business people with a net worth of IDR10billion and above
Definition of TDP
TDP or Company Registration Certificate is one of the documents that can validate the establishment of a business entity.
It also states that the business entity has fulfilled and carried out its obligations properly according to the Indonesian law.
Unlike SIUP that can last for five year, TDP need to renewed at least once every three months.
That way, the government can find out about the smoothness or obligations that must be fulfilled by a company.
The management of TDP is required for business entities in the form of PT, Firms, CV, individuals and also Cooperatives.
Those who are not required to manage TDP include Formal Education Schools, Non-Formal Education Schools, Foundations or associations.
How to Manage SIUP and TDP
SIUP and TDP management can be quite complicated, especially for novice businessmen. The reason is, it is quite a lot of requirements types that needed.

Managing SIUP
To be able to process a SIUP, at least prepare the following general requirements:
- Photocopy of the person in charge or owner of a business entity or company
- Company’s initial balance sheet
- Photocopy of Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP)
- Attaching a Business Premises Permit (SITU)
- A minimum of 2 passport photos of the person in charge, owner or director of the company, each measuring 4×6 cm.

For the procedure itself, you can see it as follows:
- Submit a permit application to the relevant agency by attaching all the complete requirements.
- Waiting for the receipt submitted by the registration counter, regarding the company permit application.
- The technical team from the relevant agency will draft a letter containing the rejection or granting of a permit.
It will be addressed to the Head of DPMPTSP (Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency).
- Applicants for permits will immediately receive the SIUP from the registration counter, and can start using it as intended.
Managing TDP
To process this TDP, the requirements that must be fulfilled are relatively few, namely as follows:
- Photocopy of the NPWP of the company owner or person in charge
- Business permits, such as SIUP and so on
- Photocopy of the ID card and family card of the company owner or person in charge
- Attach a statement of the validity of the document and do not yet have a TDP
- Statement of position of the Business Entity
- Photocopy of the ID card of the authorized person and the power of attorney for management with a Rp10,000 stamp.
If this is authorized, the sample format for the power of attorney is widely available on the internet.
- Notarial deed if the company is in the form of a PT, CV, Cooperative or Firm
Meanwhile, for the management of TDP, it can be done as follows:
- Business license applicants can apply for their business license online, through the PTSP website.
- Submitting an application by uploading various licensing requirements, while filling out the licensing form which can be done online.
You can also directly provide the application files to the PTSP Front Office officer.
- Receive the draft TDP document and decide whether the TDP can be processed or needs to be revised.
- Received TDP document accompanied by the status “application process completed administrative research”.
