• Medium SIUP, for companies with net worth and capital of Rp500million – Rp10billion
• Large SIUP, for companies with a net worth of IDR10billion and above

In addition to SIUP and SITU, there are also other types of business licenses, namely TDP (Company Registration Certificate).

Extending an Expired SIUP

Considering its importance, you need to extend your SIUP as soon as it expires. That way, your company’s legal status will always be maintained.

The process of extending SIUP or other business licenses used to be known to be quite complicated and time-consuming.

However, since August 2018, the SIUP renewal process has undergone some changes so that it becomes easier.

The government’s goal in establishing PP OSS is to simplify the process of making and extending business licenses. 

This ease is expected to open up more investment opportunities and boost economic growth in the country.

This PP OSS discusses Electronically Integrated Business Licensing Services and becomes a reference in obtaining a SIUP.

The PP introduces an official website that facilitates the creation of business licenses electronically known as Online Single Submission (OSS).

This integrated site is capable of handling various business licenses, including to extend SIUP online. 

Latest Information about the Possibility and Necessity to Extend SIUP Online

PP OSS also introduces a new business license called the Business Identification Number (NIB). It is a new basic license that mandatory for all companies.

This NIB consists of a 13-digit number that has security and is equipped with an electronic signature. 

It functions as an identity number of a company. Furthermore, based on Article 26 of PP OSS, it can also function as a SIUP TDP.

With this information, you certainly need to reconsider intention to extend SIUP online. Moreover, in fact, the government has removed the obligation to extend SIUP. 

This elimination of the obligation to extend the SIUP is through the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 07/M-DAG/PER/2/2017.

Meanwhile, based on Attachment I of Permendag 77/2018, SIUP is categorized as a Business License in the trade sector. 

However, as a business actor, you also need to pay attention to Article 5 of PP 24/2018. 

It is stated that for certain activities, a Business License can also be used for other things. 

The article states that a Business License is also a Commercial License or Operational License. An example is a Trade Business License.

So, if you want to apply for a business license through OSS, make it a trade business license.

Then, the license can be applied as an operational or commercial license. So you don’t need to fulfil the operational or commercial license commitment.

To be able to extend SIUP online through OSS, you need to complete several documents and requirements. 

The following documents are required in the NIB registration process if the SIUP and TDP have expired:

• Name and or number of the ratification of the deed of establishment or commonly called the registration number
• The business sector that you have established
• Types of investment agreed upon
• If it is related to Foreign Investment, then the country of origin of the investment must be clear
• Location where investment takes place
• The size of the plan made and related to capital investment
• Your plans relate to the use of labor
• Contact number of the business entity owned
• The request plan consists of several facilities, such as taxation, customs facilities, and or other facilities
• NPWP owned by non-individual business actors
• NIK of the person in charge of the business or activity in question

Process and Steps to Make New SIUP Online

Not only to extend SIUP online, you can also use the OSS to process a new business license.  

To be able to do that, you will be required to fill out the necessary data on the application process. 

For individual business actors, the following are the requirements:

• Name and NIK
• Applicant’s residential address
• The business field you are in
• Your company location
• Amount of planned investment
• Workforce utilization plan
• Business or activity contact number
• Planned request for fiscal, customs and/or other facilities
• NPWP of Individual Business Actors

Meanwhile, for business actors who are not individuals, the following conditions must be met:

• Name and/or number of the deed of establishment or registration number
• Business fields
• Types of investment
• Country of origin of investment. In this case if there is foreign investment
• Investment location
• Amount of planned investment
• Workforce utilization plan
• Business entity contact number
• Plan to request tax facilities, customs. Or other facilities
• NPWP for non-individual business actors
• NIK of the person responsible for the business and/or activity
